Down to the beach
Down to the beach
On a sunny day we go

Beach bags packed with sun screen lotions
Hands rubbing people’s backs in slow motion
Glistening oily bodies radiating with sensation

Down to the beach
Down to the beach
Where a chilly sea breeze blows

Let’s have some fun
In the red-hot sun

Down to the beach
Only there the ladies reveal saucy behinds
Whenever the raging sun is still kind

Down to the beach
As never-ceasing waves play across the shores
People happily play dreading any rainy downpour

Down to the beach
Where young lovers closely nestle
As sand creatures cause the sand to bristle
Seagulls gliding in the air with screams and whistles
Kids picking up shells and building stormy sand castles

Down to the beach
Where mostly good vibes flow
Down to the beach
We go whilst there is still sun without snow

Beach Chairs

Sitting on the beach chairs
watching the setting sun
holding hands and reminiscing
how it all begun

Sitting on the beach chairs
watching the ships out on the sea
holding hands and smiling
together we're meant to be

Sitting on the beach chairs
watching people walking past
holding hands and knowing
that our love will always last

Sitting on the beach chairs
watching the waves along the shore
holding hands we realize
our love is stronger than before

Sitting on the beach chairs
watching the changing tide
holding hands with happiness
to be by each others side

Sitting on the beach chairs
watching the sunrise
holding hands with tears of joy
there are no more good-byes

Santa Monica Mountains..Kanan Dume

Santa Monica Mountains....Kanan Dume
There...in the distance...and very soon
.......I'll be on the beach....at Malibu

......High....in the hills......of Pepperdine
I gaze.....at the sea...the world is mine
....The beach........at Malibu

Wade in the surf......of the crescent bay
...Watch the sun say...goodnight....to day
On the beach...........at Malibu...

When last...I've traveled...old Kanan Dume
.....Strolled.....in the light....of my...last moon
On the beach......at Malibu...

Set...the ashes...of my existence......free
......To live........throughout.....eternity
There..........on the beach.......at Malibu

You roll down the window
And even before you see it
You smell that salty, ocean scent
You already know your there
At the beach

Where the breeze is best
Where the sun is most powerful
Mother Nature’s birthplace
At the beach

There so much to do
Starting from building sand castles
To finding shells so odd looking
To riding tsunami on your surfboard
To tanning yourself like bread in the toaster
To fishing with your grandpa
To snorkeling with fish
To going on cruises
To riding a dolphin
Just so much to do
The list is as big as space
As long as infinity
At the beach

As you walk on the shore
You see the sky red as the sun sits on the water
You feel the sand filling the gaps between your toes
You hear the soothing sounds of the waves
At the beach

Some claim to see the most wondrous things
Like beautiful mermaids sitting on rocks
Or the mysterious Loch Ness Monster
And even the lost city of Atlantis
At the beach

There nothing better than the beach
Where beauty was given its name
Where Happiness cannot be expressed
At the beach

Pink Sand Beach yoga
on and on I chant with the sea
seeking nirvana

Pink Sand Beach yoga
on and on i chant with the sea
seeking peace in the mind

Pink Sand Beach yoga
on and on I chant with the sea
to calm the tempest in my mind

Pink Sand Beach yoga
between the pink sand and
the blue sea, my nirvana

Pink Sand Beach yoga
on and on the sea chants too
seeking nirvana

Pink Sand Beach yoga
i sat on a pink lotus looking to
the horizon longing nirvana

Why settle for white sand when you can have a little color? Several places in the Caribbean have pink beaches, but the most iconic is on Harbour Island. The strawberry ice cream color comes from shells of microscopic marine organisms. The aptly-named Pink Sand Beach stretches most of the island's three-mile eastern shore, where sunrises are spectacular and an offshore coral reef tempers the surf.

Oh, to be lying,
On a beach,
Somewhere,
With sand in my toes,
And the wind,
In my hair.

And only the sound,
Of the seagulls,
On high,
On a beach,
Somewhere,
Under sunny blue sky.

The gentle caress,
Of the waves,
On the shore,
And you close,
Beside me,
Could I ask for more?

A soft sandy beach,
That goes on,
Forever,
You, me,
And a beach,
So happy together.

I’m a happy dog at the beach
If I had the power of speech
I would tell you all
To throw my ball
I’m a happy dog at the beach

I’m a happy dog at the beach
There are no new tricks you can teach
I’m bouncy and glad
And my tail wags like mad
I’m a happy dog at the beach

I’m a happy dog at the beach
My joy is always in reach
Whatever the talk
It’s the best place to walk
I’m a happy dog at the beach

I’m a happy dog at the beach
As I hear the seagulls screech
I chase and I bark
Long into the dark
I’m a happy dog at the beach

I’m a happy dog at the beach
And I don’t want to start to preach
But if you ask me
The best thing to see
Is a happy dog at the beach

The Sun is shy,
Teasing to hold strong for a beach day,
Maybe later he might decide to stay.
Until then I keep on hopes,
For my little spot on the beach
In Delray.
The sand clean and warm,
The waters peaceful,
Everything in a connection, calm,
The birds happy singing,
My heart joined breathing
Love, Love, Love
My City, Delray
Beach.

To a few I showed my secret Spot,
To many I reveal it is on The Beach,
In Delray, still without my help,
none may find, because is called mine,
My hidden Delray Beach Spot

Its open, its free, its guarded and protected
All can find, all can see, but beyond the vision,
belongs to me, My Secret Loved Spot,
On the Beach, in Delray...

A friend I call to Show my Paradise,
and share the secret rooted
inside my heart, with all my soul,
My loved Delray Beach
The 'All-America' City,
Blessed, and so dear to me!

I am here,
Sitting on the beach
Viewing the wave
Rolling up your name

I am here,
Sitting on the beach
Looking at the sunset
Driving away your face into the night

I am here,
Sitting on the beach
Looking up the stars
Disappearing memories of you and me

But they refuse to go
Still keep in my mind neatly
Together with a sincere love

I am still here,
Sitting on the beach
Palling up with early morning
Waiting for you to come
And take me back to your arms

Paradise is the word,
no other to be called,
a beach like no other

The Sun here is to Shy
Shy! My SunShine
Delray, Delray Beach!
The Paradise...So easy to find...
So dear to me, for so long in my past,
You the Beach I desired...

And there you Are,
Always, day and night,
Beautiful Delray,
Open as no other heart
Safe, protected, Welcoming...

Love, My Beach, My Delray,
The City I call Home!

At dawn, bare footed, viewing as far as eyes can reach,
the water's edge advances and recedes along the beach.

Before me I see a carpet of half-buried shells of sea-creatures,
tide washed and rippled in sodden sand along the beach.

I move, exploring, sodden sand oozing between my toes,
beyond me the wavelets breaking on the sand along the beach.

Behind me, my wandering trail is blurred and indistinct,
as the water's edge advances and recedes along the beach.

At mid-day, on the soft dry sand behind the water's edge,
undressed worshippers lie in the sun that beats down along the beach.

At night, the moon's reflection at the water's edge
resembles sea serpents playing in the wavelets along the beach

We went to the beach to get wind in our hair
to stand on the sand and simply to stare.
To let the surf tickle toes and dampen our clothes
as we played 'run away'
from the wavelets at play.

We went to the beach to climb on the rocks
find cool shallow pools where we'd take of our socks,
and peer in the waters to see what we might find
that the waves of the sea,
had last left behind.

We went to the beach to find coloured shells
the kind that when placed to our ears
make the sound of the ocean appear,
and gathered rocks that we never would find
in the places we walked,
for most of the time.

We went to the beach and all that, we did find
and the smell of the salt refreshed our tired minds.
I'll never forget the laughter and sounds
and the freedom to run,
on that wet sandy ground.

We went to the beach my family and I
and there we were one,
with the ocean, the beach, and the sky.

That evening jogging on the beach with my friends
miles and miles away from home i was alone

the sea was rolling and unrolling its carpet of blue and grey
with what was a milk-border of foam
rolling and unrolling it endlessly or so it seemed

a score of seagulls on the shore flapped their wings
starchwhite some picking morsels from the sand

jogging on the beach that evening miles and miles
away from home i ran into a dream

a little challenged girl in knickers and sportshirt
was carried by the waves to the shore
and as she stepped on the beach i held her hand

she walked with me her puny feet at every step
battling with the sand her head swayed sideward
with the breeze.

she clapped her hands now and then and broke
into an incoherent song seemingly happy walking the beach

i was happy too holding her hand that evening
jogging on the beach till the shout of friends behind
woke me up

alone in my room that night i felt disturbed
sleep was long in coming... waking up at morn
i learnt my TV had been on whole night!

I miss everything about the beach from the sands between my toes to the mighty sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks; it is there where I found my serenity.

I miss the sun raise to the sun fall at the beach, where its true colors have this wonderfully glow right at the point of when the sun touches the water.

I miss the smell of the salted water when the wind blows, I miss the way the sun feels when it caress my face, it has this magical warmth.

I miss the beach from the family fun to the just one on one in the sun, it reminds me of what home feel like, I miss seen the kids playing in the water, and how the fire bounces off the ocean in the darkness of night.

I miss the beauty of the beach for this is the loveliest gift that God has created for us to enjoy our time with each other, oh how I miss the beach.

The magpie's voice floated across the oval as the sun was warming in the summery sky
In what promised to be a beach day for many a few hours of sun and ocean to enjoy
At Inverloch its been said the sea is slightly warmer and the beach is never overcrowded there
And in a place that is free of pollution so good to breathe in the healthy ocean air.

At Inverloch a sea side Town in Gippsland life always goes on at a steady pace
And even in the height of the holiday season it never is an overcrowded place
Some families from the eastern Melbourne suburbs at Inverloch enjoy their holiday
They swim and on the wide beach play beach cricket and for a few weeks relax by the bay.

At Inverloch a two hours drive from Melbourne a place of peace and beauty by the sea
Life goes on at a steady pace as usual even in the holiday

The magpie's voice it floats across the oval as the family pack their lunch and flask of tea
For the five minutes walk that will take them to the wide beach for two hours of sun or maybe even three.

I wanna ride the perfect curl

I goin over the falls
feelin slick, sure she'll call

run up the beach
cool from the spray
the beauty she lay

The two
Of us
Finally
Spending sometime together
At the beach
Walking
And watching
At
The same time
The seagull's fishing
For food
At the
Beach
The two
Of us
Can't believe
How beautiful
It is at
The beach
And we can hear
The sound of the water
Roaring
Back and forth

As if I had a video in my brain,
some days we spent come sharply back.

On a beach not far from Cork, still kids,
we played at being Bedouins
on grass-topped dunes,
with beach-towels round our heads
and hurly sticks as guns.

An inlet split the beach in two.
To get back to the car
we had to wade a swelling tide.
Who carried me to safety? Was it you?

Sometimes in the heat of despair
we lost sight of perspective
It bends and curves and distorts
Like light round a black hole
and what we think of as truth is wildy out of proportion
yes the grains of truth are there running through the narrow waist of our preception
but each individual speck is not the beach, the beach is more than grains of sand

is this your last split second? will you spend it looking at a grain of sand or at the beach?

Beach Of Dreams

On the beach of dreams, we sit
watching a never setting sun.
Never wondering how long
our love will last,
or how much time, we have.
Our dreams stretch out forever
like our love my dear.
Our hearts beat as one
whenever you are near.
Each day as the sun rises,
I want to return to the beach.
The beach of dreams,
which both of us share.

LET YOU GO...

Here, at the beach I sit
On soft fine sand
Shaded by cool palm trees
Warm sea winds – billowing
Whiffs of salty air – so overpowering;

Here at the beach I sit
Thoughts of you come flooding in
Messing with my head
Messing with my life
Making me
Wondering
Pondering
Questioning
Your love for me;

Here, at the beach I sit
There’s that sunset
A sight to behold
There’s this me here
With a sigh so reluctant
And a heart so heavy
I now know…
I must let you go!

The footprints in my heart

My heart looks like a beach
After a long summers day
Absolute chaos
A whole life of people
Or just a day of chaos

When my heart
was just like a beach
early morning
just as the sun came up

washed clean of all that came before
not a print
unblemished by peoples disregard
for it is clean of all chaos

then I let the first person in
who walked a long trail
lonely path cut into fresh sand
serenity has come beauty

the first footprint
interrupted by a calm wave
sweeping to interrupt the first sign
of someone walking on my heart

then as the time drags on the beauty changed
more people than just one
disrupting my clean beach
walking, jumping, lying on my beach

the beauty changed to chaos
but for one thing
the footprint of love
of care that the beauty should not be touched

then hurt of the careless one
leaving their dirt behind
muddy footprints of a careless child
a conceited adult

so during the erosion of my beach
day in day out
night for night
cleaning and sweeping

but for those
careless footprints
of the one who used the beach
with no care

for what damage they do
they destroyed
the beautiful beach
the beautiful heart

so the question is
will with time
this beach
heal and find its beauty again

will the footprints of the new day
come back and make
the heart forget
those days of chaos

I wait for the one person
Early one morning
To make new footprint
Not one set, but two

One for me and one for her
New footprints on my heart

Our Beach (Free Verse)

Standing together on our beach,
Holding each others hands.
Knowing that we would soon be separated,
As tears run down my face.
I remember the first day we met,
Here on our beach, it was a bright, perfect day.
But now it's a fierce storm coming our way.
As the waves and wind grow and the skies above darken,
My memories of you and me will forever be there.
But I will always remember you by the way our beach looked that day,
Your hair like the sea grass in the breeze,
Your eyes as the colour of the sea,
Your lips like gentle waves and
Your heart like the locket I found that day, golden and beautiful.
And to me you're my beach, and I will always remember you.

The Beach

The beach is where I want to go,
To listen to the ocean voices ebb and flow.

Lather on the sun block,
And come near the shore and take a walk.

The athletes playing beach volleyball,
And listen to the seagulls call.

The seagulls chasing after bread,
Beach-goers ducking and covering thier heads.

The ocean breeze going through my hair.
Children throwing sand everywhere.

Playing in the cerulean tide,
Watching the sun behind the horizon, so wide.

People on thier stomachs to get brown and tan,
Getting thier bronzer all over thier hands.

Getting a whiff of the salty spray,
The beach is the place to get away.

A Day At The Beach

The sun rises slowly,
All is peaceful, almost holy.
We laugh in the blood red sunrise,
Lying down on the beach.

The sun is right up high,
hoverring there in the sky.
We laugh in the bright midday,
Lying down on the beach.

The sun sets brightly,
The moon shimmers lightly.
We laugh in the golden sunset,
Lying down on the beach.

The sun is down, all is dark,
All is quiet, listen, hark!
We laugh in the perfect silence,
Lying down on the beach

A Green Bottle

You see a green bottle floating toward shore
Carried by the incoming tide's gentle motion.
You pull your lavender dress up to your knees
And wade out in the water to pick up the bottle.

Returning to your orange blanket on the beach,
The sea water glistening on your tanned wet legs,
The sun shining on your crimson colored hair
You uncork the bottle and find a rolled note.

You remove your dark sunglasses to read the note
And while reading it, a tear rolls down your cheek.
You finish reading it and stare out into the sea
For several minutes as tears glisten on your face.

The note said: 'To my dearest, dearest darling
I hope this note in a bottle somehow finds it's way
Across the vast sea to you, for I will meet you
By the green steps to our beach if I do come! '

You gathered up your things and folded the blanket,
Began the long walk back up the sandy beach
Then saw your bearded lover by the beach steps,
Ran to him, embracing him with a passionate kiss!

Love

A thousand grains of sand
In time I’ll understand
The way I also sacrifice
Myself to be so nice

I listen to the waves crash
On me, girls never mash
I watch an orange flare
I’m left with my despair

By myself on a beach
With another girl out of reach
My heart bleeds to the moon
Someday, maybe one day, soon

I’ll find myself with another
My heart will beat with the other
We will lay in the sand
Our presence will be the demand

As the moon chases the sun
I mimic in my earthly run
The sun sets, the moon’s alone
Solitary in the sky, loneliness known

The beloved light reflected away
“Go man” is all I could say
As I gave my light away
Maybe another, another day

By myself on a beach
With another girl out of reach
My heart bleeds to the moon
Someday, maybe one day, soon

I’ll find myself with another
My heart will beat with the other
We will lay on the sand
Our presence will be the demand

Moon sets, black night sets in
My nightly demon’s torments begin
I sit on soft beach sand
Waiting for the day I’ll understand

By myself on a beach
With another girl out of reach
My heart bleeds to the moon
Someday, maybe one day, soon

I’ll find myself with another
My heart will beat with the other
We will lay in the sand
Our presence will be the demand

Another Near To Perfect Day

In the sky the sun brightly shining the blue sky with some clouds of gray
On an afternoon in late October another near to perfect day
The white surf waves are gently rolling one reason no surfer in sight
And the silver gulls on the white beach search for food in the warm sunlight
An artist may well sketch such beauty and writers about it may write
By the coastal town on the surf beach there is beauty in peace and quiet
Today the ocean is not roaring no big waves for surfers to ride
The waves on the beach gently lapping so timid the sea at low tide
In the park the magpie larks calling the only notes they sing pee wee
And wattlebirds on the flowering coastal banksias their harsh calls familiar to me
On a beautiful day in the Springtime of around 24 degrees
And there is a cool sort of freshness in the cool freshening coastal breeze
Save for the silver gulls the beach is deserted and so clean is the fresh coastal air
A good memory to keep and to cherish and a good memory with others to share.

Whitish teeth amid
Chuckling faces
Little hands, little legs
